About the Property


Inside: the main entrance leads into an open-concept and well-furnished living, dining and kitchen area, off which are two bedrooms, a double and a twin. Both have en-suite bathrooms and access to the panoramic terrace and pool, as does the living room. A staircase leads up to the first floor, where there is a spacious and bright double bedroom with en-suite bathroom (with Jacuzzi tub with shower) opening onto two panoramic terraces overlooking the pool and the sea beyond.

Outside: the focal point of Christina is undoubtedly the superb panoramic infinity pool, which is surrounded by a large sunbathing terrace and a shaded area ideal for al fresco lounging and dining with sea views. If, after staring at the sea for a while, you wish to go for a swim in it, a 5-minute walk down through the gardens and along a quite little road will get you there!

Think About

Next to Christina is her sister house, Melina. They are completely independent and designed to ensure that guests at each have full privacy while at home or on the terraces. They share entrance gates at the top and the bottom of the terraced gardens.

Christina features an infinity pool, offering swimmers stunning views while in the pool. There is a drop off the infinity side so we recommend children are supervised at all times. Please refer to our general safety page if you would like more information about infinity pools.


The Area

Exploring the local Area

Christina is situated above a secluded bay on the north coast of Meganissi, just a 10-minute walk from the seafront tavernas, shops and harbour of Vathi. This superb position may mean you will not wander too far from your comfortable surroundings, but should you wish to, Meganissi and its neighbouring island, Lefkada, are eminently visitable in a week.

Meganissi covers just 20 square kilometres but has plenty to offer, with numerous bays and sandy beaches to explore, sleepy white-washed villages, such as Katomeri or Spartohorito, to wander around and lots of good walking paths in the centre of the island.

The two main harbours of Vathi and Spilia are great spots for dining on fish, whiling away an hour or two with a drink in hand or setting out on one of the frequent ferries to visit other islands in the Ionian archipelago.

"We had a wonderfully relaxing time at Villa Christina. The whole experience has been first class. The response times from everyone in London and in Meganissi are very prompt and we felt as though we were the only guests you had to look after – very personal service... The villa was in pristine condition and its location overlooking the islands and the mainland is spectacular. It’s so peaceful and quiet. The only sounds you hear are the clang of goats bells, the cicadas rubbing their wings and the yachts quietly pulling into the calm waters of the small bay below... Every aspect of this holiday was what we needed – peace and quiet, friendly and efficient service at every touch point, high quality villa with exceptional views and pool, a few tavernas to mix up with the odd barbeque dinner at home, a small beach nearby with a beach bar, boats to hire for a day’s skimming around the coastline – the list goes on... We will book our next villa through The Thinking Traveller."
